[SOLVED] Iwconfig not working / Networking, Server, and Protection / Arch Linux Forums

Hi all, i'm a new arch-user, and i'm trying to set up my wireless card. I've used it with gentoo and ubuntu with success, so, like i did in that 2 distributions, i installed ndiswrapper and loaded the right drivers. The card is now seen by the system as wlan0, but i can't set anything using iwconfig.For example, this is iwconfig output: disabled@Dario:~$ iwconfig wlan0 wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:off/any Mode:Auto Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated Bit Rate:11 Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=0/3 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0When i try to set essid (but also channel or mode) i don't get any error message, but iwconfig don't change them: disabled@Dario:~$ sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid default disabled@Dario:~$ iwconfig wlan0 wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:off/any Mode:Auto Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated Bit Rate:11 Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=0/3 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0Any ideas?
